Youth Day programme
Shobha bahen alongwith Mr. Pramod Joshi, Zonal Agricultural Officer, Govt. of Goa, Mr. Nitesh Ranjan, Officer, Indian Overseas Bank, Panaji branch, Mr. Nagraj Anklekar, Officer, Income Tax dept., Govt. of India and other dignitaries at the ‘Walk for Young Women’s dignity’ event held on the occasion of International Youth Day (12th August) in Panaji, Goa. About 100 youths walked across the streets of the capital city to raise awareness in the younger generation towards its responsibility of restoring and promoting the values of ancient Indian culture.
A Training program for farmers on Paramparagat Krishi (Traditional Farming ) was organised by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development(NABARD) in association with Agriculture Technology Management Agency (AIMA), Agriculture Department, Government of Goa and Brahma Kumaris.
The program opening was done by Deputy Chief Minister Mr Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar, BK Trainer Balasaheb Rugge, Kolhapur and other special invitees who addressed the gathering on the importance of organic farming.
